A partnership between Garena and McLaren Racing, the world’s most downloaded mobile game in 2019 and 2020, has been announced. The collaboration will feature an exclusive McLaren Racing x Free Fire collection featuring Lando Norris, the Formula 1 racing driver for McLaren. As part of Free Fire’s crossover with McLaren, Ace the Field, there will be in-game features, social media campaigns, and off-line activities, as well as a thematic takeover in the game.
Both McLaren and Free Fire have collaborated to create an exclusive version of the game, which will be called “MCLFF”, an acronym for McLaren-Free Fire. Based on the MCL35M, the design was influenced by others racecars designed by McLaren Racing. A McLaren P1TM is designed, engineered, and built to be the best car for drivers in the world, while the McLaren MCLFF will be McLaren’s vision of the future, combining advanced motorsports with advanced technology.
We are thrilled to be collaborating with Free Fire for an in-game McLaren Racing integration. Our fans are always looking for ways to connect with our team and this integration gives this accessibility in a new and exciting way. It’s a brilliant collaboration in a time when gaming is only continuing to grow, and McLaren wants to be a part of that growth!
Mark Waller, Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Racing
The MacLaren P1TM is included in the game, along with the McLaren Free Fire mode

Both the MCLFF and McLaren P1™ are signature cars and represent the innovation, leadership, and prestige that McLaren stands for. To bring these elements into Free Fire is something that we are truly excited about. We look forward to our players enjoying the best of McLaren in Free Fire. Collaborations like this allow us to deliver new experiences for current players and interest others to try Free Fire out.
Harold Teo, Producer for Free Fire
There will also be a race track on Free Fire’s Training Island, where players can test drive their cars. Featuring the original colors chosen by Bruce McLaren, players can complete their racing look by wearing the McLaren Racing x Free Fire collection, which includes the same drivers’ overalls as those worn by Graham and Bruce during their heydays. From the moment the McLaren character enters the game until they go to battle, the crossover will see various other elements inspired by McLaren. The collection will feature skins, surfboards, airships, and emotes that were inspired by McLaren.
